Tomorrow.................  …BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 AM CST SATURDAY… * Expect blizzard conditions to develop around midnight and then diminish around 6 AM Saturday. * Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow. Significant drifting of the snow is likely…especially on ridge tops and in open areas. Tree branches and power lines could fall as well. * Total snow accumulations of 10 to 16 inches are expected. * Travel will be very difficult to impossible…including during the morning commute on Friday. * Expect a wintry mix to develop this evening, transitioning to all snow overnight. This snow will become heavy after midnight, tapering off Friday night. * Total snow accumulations tonight through Friday night in the 6 to 10 inch range. Snow rates up to 2 inches an hour at times also possible in thundersnow. * Travel will become dangerous.  |

Hope you are south of Mason City as they are saying from there north to Rochester 12-18". But once you get that much, what's an inch or two more. JD didn't put way the snow mobiles yet??

I was outside the last few days working with just a sweater on... this is kind of a shock back to the reality of February in Iowa.

I am considerably north of you. Our forecast is for a high of 9 Celsius (mid fifties Fahrenheit ) no snow, no blizzard; just spring weather; when it should be freezing the balls off of a brass monkey . Global warming at its finest. I have been on this planet for over 60 years; I can see and feel the changes in the weather; in my lifetime
